Worte haben Macht. Alles, was ich sage, muss wahr sein. Aber nicht alles, was wahr ist, muss ich sagen. Der Schriftsteller Max Frisch schreibt: Wir sollten die Wahrheit unserem Gegenüber nicht wie ein nasses Handtuch um die Ohren schlagen, sondern sie ihm wie einen Mantel hinhalten, in den er hineinschlüpfen kann. 2. Deutsch English Paul and Silas arrived in the city of Philippi on their missionary journey. Philippi was one of the most important cities. In addition to the Roman and Greek population, there were a number of Jews who did not have a synagogue but only a place for prayer. On the Sabbath, we went out of the city and came to the riverbank. There we met a small congregation for prayer. Here Paul proclaimed the gospel. The Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between God and humans. It is a wonderful gift from God. Deutsch English Paulus und Silas erreichten auf ihrer Missionsreise, die Stadt Philippi. Philippi eine der bedeutendsten Städte. Neben der römischen und griechischen Bevölkerung lebten eine Anzahl Juden, die keine Synagoge, sondern nur einen Gebetsplatz besaßen. Am Sabbat gingen wir hinaus aus der Stadt und kamen an das Flussufer. Dort trafen wir eine kleine Gemeinde zum Gebet. Hier verkündigte Paulus das Evangelium. Der Sabbat ist ein Bundeszeichen zwischen Gott und Menschen. Er ist ein herrliches Gottesgeschenk. Ein Tag leiblicher Ruhe und der Besinnung. Heute feiern wir den siebten Tag, den Sonntag. 1.
