God's blessing is priceless
God's blessing is a great treasure that promises us the assurance of His divine presence. "Everything depends on God's blessing."
1. The Lord wants to bless you
You shall receive God's blessing. Moses had a message from God to the people of Israel:
And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. Deuteronomy 28:2-6 (ESV)
Moses encouraged the people that if you observe God's commandments and live in a way that pleases Him, He will be your God and you shall be His people. This is about the relationship between God and humanity.
The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands.
Deuteronomy 28:12a (ESV)
2. Insight into the life of Joseph according to Psalm 112, 26
Joseph was a son of Jacob and Rachel. He received special attention from his father. Perhaps also because his mother died and he was now a half-orphan without maternal love. His father gave him a special robe, much to his brothers' annoyance. When Joseph told his dreams, the hatred escalated to thoughts of murder.
By now, Joseph was 17 years old when he got his father's assignment. 'Look after your brothers and the animals, to see if they are doing well.' Joseph was on his way, completely unaware, with no thoughts of evil. His brothers recognized him from afar. 'Here comes the dreamer. Let's kill him and throw him into a deep pit. We'll tell our father that a wild animal has eaten him.'
Hardly had Joseph arrived among them, when they tore his robe from him and threw him into an empty pit. By the veto of his brother Reuben, he prevented the intention to kill Joseph. Reuben wanted to save him.
Josef's Plus:
He was a God-fearing young man. His trust in God remained steadfast.
3. Joseph in the House of Potiphar
Attention the temptation:
Joseph looked good. Potiphar's wife wanted him to sleep with her. Joseph refused, but the woman pressured him daily. Joseph resisted her and said: how could I commit such a great wrong and sin against my God.
4. Josef innocent in prison
Because of the woman's lie that Joseph wanted to rape her, Potiphar had him thrown into prison in a rage.
But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison put Joseph in charge of all the prisoners who were in the prison. Whatever was done there, he was the one who did it. Genesis 39:21-22 (ESV)
5. End of captivity
The Pharaoh doesn’t know what to do, he had a dream. Joseph could help, he interpreted the meaning of the dream. He was 30 years old by then when the Pharaoh made him the governor. Joseph left the royal court and traveled throughout Egypt. He married Asenath. They had two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
God has given me a life full of fruit and blessing in the land of my misery after 13 years! According to Genesis 41
Merchants passed by, on their way to Egypt. The brothers sold Joseph for 20 silver pieces. Upon arriving in Egypt, the merchants sold Joseph to Potiphar. He was a chief officer of the royal guard.
Joseph lost his father's love, his homeland, and the familiar family life. Now he was alone, abandoned and forsaken by his loved ones. What feelings stirred in his heart?
Josef's Plus:
He was a God-fearing young man. His trust in God remained steadfast.
3. Joseph in the House of Potiphar
The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master. His master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord caused all that he did to succeed in his hands. So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had. From the time that he made him overseer in his house and over all that he had, the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had, in house and field.
Genesis 39:2-5 (ESV)Attention the temptation:
Joseph looked good. Potiphar's wife wanted him to sleep with her. Joseph refused, but the woman pressured him daily. Joseph resisted her and said: how could I commit such a great wrong and sin against my God.

What did Joseph have to process internally? From his perspective, he had acted rightly. How should it proceed now? People have rejected him, but his God was with him.
