God is almighty because he created all things and has them in his hands forever and will certainly bring his kingdom to completion. The entire cosmos that he controls serves him for this purpose.
1. God's self-revelation
El Shaddai: Hebrew name of God = God is almighty.
Isaiah reports on God's work:
For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!): “I am the Lord, and there is no other. Isaiah 45:18 (ESV)
Here is a reason to thank God our Creator: Our earth does not exist as a desert, but for people and animals to inhabit. We live on an expressive earth.
2. Under God's rule
He certainly wants to bring his kingdom to completion. The entire cosmos serves him for this purpose: the universe, the world order, all of humanity.
3. The forces of nature

He who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns deep darkness into the morning and darkens the day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the surface of the earth, the Lord is his name. Amos 5:8 (ESV)
4. The power of people
Skilled workers are urgently needed in many areas. There are people who do not spare their lives to serve people. Unfortunately, there are also criminals who plan and carry out evil.
Jesus asks his followers:
The most important commandment:
And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27 (ESV)
We were asked to become home parents in a leisure home. An inner question. We can do it? Is that our job? We wanted to know for sure. We needed an answer through God's Word.
During a proclamation of the word, a pastor said the sentence: The Lord wants your strength! That was the answer to our question. The move was clear. From December 1967 to July 1978 we served with our strength. Children, youth and older people. That was a special privilege.
5. Angelic Powers
They are messengers of God as intermediate beings between God and people.
Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:14 (ESV)
My God sent his angel and shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.” Daniel 6:22 (ESV)
6. Worship
Great God, we praise you!
“Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. Revelation 15:3b-4a (ESV)
I adore you Almighty, there is no one like you. I adore you, Prince of Peace, you alone give me peace. I praise you, you are my righteousness. I adore you Almighty, there is no one like you.
