The signal of the rapture

For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. hen we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 (ESV)

Brinke writes in his commentary: We will suddenly experience that this lowly body will be like His glorious body. The mortal body will become immortal in an instant. The crooked, the paralyzed, the hard of hearing, or the blind. They all will suddenly receive a glorious body. According to Philippians 3:21.

1. He himself will come.

What will be the most beautiful thing? 'For He Himself, the Lord, will... come' He longs to be united with His bride. He went ahead to prepare a dwelling place.

The apartment is ready to move in with all the comforts.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. John 14:3 (ESV)

What a glorious moment when we are raised up to him!

The joy of our hope will be the union with our heavenly bridegroom, then we will be with him forever.

Paul speaks of "we"; he hoped, like we do today, to be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord during his lifetime. According to 1 Thessalonians 4:17

2. What will the goal be?

The goal will be eternal community with 'the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - and with many thousands of angels and all the redeemed.' We are still in preparation, in a state of betrothal. Soon the picking up will take place. But the great wedding day will be the highlight of the union.

The grand finale will be the victory celebration, before God's throne, in heaven.

Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;
it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said[1] to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”
Revelation 19:6-9 (ESV)

3. Be ready Jesus is coming soon

This sentence is more than a reminder – it is a call to vigilance and hope. It contains the urgency that does not instill fear, but leads to an inner alignment with what is essential: with Jesus himself.

Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
Matthew 25:13 (ESV)

Let yourself be touched by God's grace daily, seek reconciliation. Keep your heart open for His return. The event is promise, comfort, and goal.
