I know where I'm going

Billy Graham writes in his book “The Blessings of Late Years”: The length of our lives may vary, but ultimately death will overtake us all. But Christians receive hope and comfort from God's Word, which says, "Blessed are those who die in the Lord" from Revelation 14:13
If we live according to God's will and trust him, we will find that every age can be adventurous.
Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eye was undimmed, and his vigor unabated. Deuteronomy 34:7 (ESV)
1. Breathtaking sight
Moses climbed the high mountain Nebo and was allowed to see the beauties of the land. He saw with his own eyes what God had promised Israel. His faith was firmly founded on God's promises. But he had to die before reaching his destination because of his disobedience. According to Deuteronomy 34:1-7
If we observe God's commandments and are faithful to the end, we can not only look into them, but be sure, as Paul said:
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 (ESV)
We will rest in God's presence for all eternity in a glory indescribable.
But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— 1 Corinthians 2:9 (ESV)
2. Our mission on this journey
The world is in trouble. Many people are caught up in earthly things - or blinded by the will-o'-the-wisp of a non-Christian religion so that they don't see the bright light of the gospel. Before the time of grace comes to an end, our mission is to warn people from perdition. Let's start with our next of kin.
3. Time flies
When the city of Sodom was destroyed, the men asked Lot: Do you have anyone else here, a son-in-law, your sons and daughters, or anyone else from this city? Get them out of this place quickly! According to Genesis 19:1-29
This question is now for us, do we have anyone else in the City of Doom? We too are quickly coming to an end. Have we told everyone about the salvation in Jesus? Do we care where people spend eternity? Many people live far from God. Warn the people to leave the place of destruction.
For people whose sins have been forgiven by God, death is not a journey into the unknown. But a coming home to the upper father's house.
4. I know where I'm going!
Emil Weber reports about a boy who finds Jesus during a leisure activity - Now everyday life had caught up with them again - One day Hans' father comes and brings the news that he is in the hospital. When I go to visit him, his mother is standing in the hospital corridor with a pale face. I asked about Hans. Yes, Hans went home a few minutes ago. He didn't survive the operation. The mother talks about his last minutes. He had grabbed her hand and said: “Mother, you have to promise me one thing. If I have to leave you now, you mustn't cry. “Look, mother, I know where I’m going.” When his mother looked at him questioningly, he said: “Yes. I go to the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” and he fell asleep. Yes, Hans had decided for Jesus Christ and knew where he was going!
Hardly anyone lives to be 120 years old like Moses. But we can and must know whether we will achieve the eternal promised goal in God's community!
If we are faithful to the end, we must not only look into it, but be certain like Paul who could say:
For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 Corinthians 5:1 (ESV)
