God is a wonderful creator

DE Deutsch EN English

Oswald Chambers writes in his devotional book: “Nature is a precious treasure to us and we see that it comes from God. We notice how God comes toward us with every gust of wind, with every sunrise or sunset, with every cloud, every flower that blooms, and every leaf that changes color, if only we begin to activate our dulled thinking and notice it.” ( From devotional Oswald Chambers)

1. Creation

The Hebrew word (bara) describes the powerful creation of God, which is not limited to a one-time act of creation, but rather God constantly creates something new.

When we read about the miracles of God's creation in the Bible, we always hear praise from God - praise in Hebrew (jahda) means: to confess, to affirm, to admit that we are right. Greek (doxazein) means: to praise, praise, praise and honor.

Many psalms write about praising the miracles of creation:

"When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place"
.  Psalm 8:3 (ESV)

Then Psalm 8 verse 4 speaks of man whom he crowned with honor and adornment. Verses 7-8 about the creation of the animal world. Finally, chapter 8 ends with praise in verse 9 (ESV): "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!"

Let us believe the Bible's testimony of creation. It shows that God, in his wisdom, willed and created the world as it came into being, solely through the power of his word: (Biblical Dictionary by Brockhaus, pp.310-311)

He is our Creator and Redeemer. Where he reigns, beauty arises and what is broken becomes whole. Can we say yes to his creation? Do we see God’s glory shining in this?

2. The new creation within us!

God is not only the creator of what is visible around us, but a creator of new creation within us.

"I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you. Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it; shout, O depths of the earth; break forth into singing, O mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and will be glorified[3] in Israel."
Isaiah 44:22-23 (ESV).

Return to me, Jesus says to us today. Through His atoning death on the cross, we are a new creation.

Song - Feiert Jesus, Volume 3 NR: 214

1. Thank you for the cross, Lord, there you paid the price for sin and guilt, wonderfully out of love and grace.

2. Thank you for the love, the pierced hands, Lord. You cleanse me with your blood. I know it now: You forgive and accept me.

Worthy is the Lamb, ruler on the throne. Many crowns adorn you, the victor who reigns. You are highly exalted, Jesus Son of God. The Most Glorious died for us on the cross. The lamb is worthy. The lamb is worthy.

God's promises are:

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 (ESV).

3. What the new creation does

Every step - everything I do - my thoughts and aspirations - my speech. Everything should serve to praise God. Real praise is worship of God and therefore only sees his glory and greatness. It is the joy of God because he is there and is the Father who rules over everything.

Praise broadens one's horizons; You become detached from yourself, from your problems and feelings. At the same time, we open ourselves more to God's work. We get to know Him better, love Him more and trust Him more.
